CareerSafe Gives Back

CareerSafe Online has always believed in the importance of giving back. There is a wide range of philanthropic opportunities that CareerSafe enthusiastically engages. As the mission of CareerSafe is to deliver ‘Safety Education for America’s Future,’ we feel it is our responsibility to help our students, educators, and partners reach their potential.

For students, scholarship opportunities are available to help aid in their educational pursuits. CareerSafe offers a quarterly National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship contest and an annual National Youth Safety Video contest. The essay scholarship describes how the OSHA 10 training has aided in their ability to identify and mitigate hazards, as well as strengthen their job prospects. Each quarter four winners are chosen, and each receive $500. Over an entire year that generates $8,000 in scholarship funds distributed among 16 deserving students! The video contest conveys messages related to youth safety in the workplace. Our students get very creative and have produced great content. The top 3 winners and their schools split $16,500 in scholarship winnings and receive recognition at the annual SkillsUSA conference.

To date, CareerSafe has donated$1,896,721through philanthropic initiatives.

Travel Scholarships & Awards

CareerSafe understands the importance of great educators in aiding their student’s development. Each year we receive nominations for educators that have specifically fostered a learning environment where safety takes center stage. The Safety Educator of the Year is recognized at the ACTE CareerTech Vision conference, and their classroom receives $5,000 to further promote safety education.

Lastly, CareerSafe has great partners with similar missions to knock out young worker injuries and fatalities and promote career and technical education in America. Since CareerSafe’s founding in 2003, we have worked with the following Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs): SkillsUSA, DECA, ACTE, NCHSE, FCCLA, OSHA Alliance, FBLA, FFA, CSN, and HOSA. CareerSafe believes in these organizations and their ability to help young workers reach their goals. To that end, CareerSafe has generously donated nearly $2 Million to these CTSOs as well as to students so that they may attend these vitally important national conferences.

‘No Job is Worth a Young Worker’s Life,’ and CareerSafe’s philanthropic efforts are an essential part of what we do. We look forward to maintaining these strong relationships and pursuing our shared passion in ensuring young workers are provided with safe opportunities to succeed in their future endeavors.
