Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Today over 175,000 members in more than 5,300 chapters are active in a network of associations in all 50 states, in addition to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The mission of FCCLA is “to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.” FCCLA lives by their motto, “Toward New Horizons.” To stay updated on everything FCCLA, you may read their semi-annual magazine publication Teen Times here.

FCCLA and CareerSafe's partnership is a dynamic partnership that produces some of the best and brightest students. FCCLA National Programs and Competitive Events support CTE students’ development of knowledge and skills, enhancing the classroom experience and career pathway initiatives. CareerSafe's affordable, informative and innovative safety training complements and supplements these knowledge and skills by making students safety minded and job ready from the minute they complete our course. To that extent, for every course purchased with a FCCLA referral code, CareerSafe donates back to FCCLA to support other FCCLA programs. Every year, CareerSafe sponsors the FCCLA Students Taking on Prevention (STOP) the Violence program. Through this program, CareerSafe encourages FCCLA members to conceptualize, create and complete a program at their school that empowers youth with attitudes, skills, and resources in order to recognize, report, and reduce youth violence.
