If you know an exceptional CTE student who has demonstrated remarkable skills, innovation, and dedication to education and leadership development in their selected career pathway, nominate them to be the very first CareerSafe National CTE Student of the Year!

CareerSafe’s new National CTE Student of the Year award will recognize an exceptional CTE student who has demonstrated remarkable skills, innovation, and dedication in their chosen CTE pathway, as well as the personal qualities of leadership, perseverance, and a passion for continuous learning.

The National CTE Student of the Year will be awarded a scholarship prize of $2,500, a highlight video, a watch party and award ceremony at their school, and national recognition through press, social media, and online announcements.

Nominations are now being accepted from school officials, administrators, and educators at the student’s school and are due by December 31, 2024. Winners will be announced in January and awarded in April.

Eligibility

Each nominee must:

  • Have a sponsor (e.g., teacher, mentor, or advisor)
  • Have successfully completed a CareerSafe OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour course
  • Complete an Official Liability Release form, to be submitted with nomination

Each nominator must:

  • Complete an Official Nomination Form and their own Official Liability Release Form
  • Submit both completed Official Liability Release Forms (their own and their nominee’s)

CareerSafe® National CTE Student of the Year Scholarship Nomination Form

NOMINEE INFORMATION
Please provide information in the text area below demonstrating how your nominee meets the following criteria:
  • Strong academic performance in CTE courses and related subjects, and completion of a CareerSafe OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour course
  • Leadership skills exhibited in school, work, and/or community activities
  • Achievement of excellence in CTE-related projects, competitions, or internships
  • Character traits of dedication, work ethic, and commitment to the CTE community
  • Future goals incorporating a clear vision for utilizing CTE skills in educational or career pursuits
Please keep submission to 550 words or less.

Please include the following forms:
  • One Consent and Release from Liability Form completed and signed by Nominator
  • One Consent and Release from Liability Form completed and signed by Nominee (and Parent/Guardian for Nominees under 18)
