Login Screen
Once you have logged in, select the desired course from the “Courses I am Taking” section of your home screen. You can either click the name of the course or the green “Start” button.
Courses I am Taking
After clicking on the course name, you will be taken to the course homepage, which will look like this:
Course Homepage
On the left-hand side, you will see a black column with several tab functions. Please keep in mind that tabs may vary per course.
Main Menu Tabs
  • Course Pretest: Take the initial course pretest. This assessment is the first item students must complete before beginning course material. Although this pretest is not for a grade, it does help gauge your students’ knowledge base before they begin the course.

  • Required Topics: Access the required course topics, each of which must be completed for a student to receive their course certificate or OSHA 10-Hour card. These do not need to be completed in any particular order.

  • Study Guide: Access the study guide, which is a comprehensive review of much of the material students might see on the final assessment.

  • Final Assessment: Take the final assessment to complete the course. This tab is locked until students complete all required topics and meet the minimum seat time for the course and each topic.

  • Course Survey: Complete the course survey after passing the final assessment. Students must complete the course survey to receive their course certificate and OSHA 10-Hour card.

  • Supplemental Topics: Access different topics that are not required to earn credentials, but which may provide interesting or helpful information. Assigning these topics is at your discretion.

  • Tool Belt: Add and save pages to review in the future. This feature is optional.

  • Exit Course: Click this tab to exit the course. Any progress you have made in the course is automatically saved.

Once you select a required or supplemental topic, you will be taken to the topic screen, where you will see a series of circles with symbols that each represent a sub-topic, or module. Some topics have more modules than others. After completing the short introductory module (indicated by the spaceship icon), the remaining modules will unlock and may be completed in any order. Once every module has been completed, the student may access the topic conclusion and assessment, represented by the flag and checklist icons, respectively.
A few notes about the topic screen:

  • The topic description is located on the left side within the black bar, just under the image. This is where you should look if you want a brief overview of the topic you are currently taking.

  • You can tell the status of a module by looking at the color. If a module circle is light grey, the module is locked, and the prerequisites must be met in order to unlock it. If the module is dark grey, it is unlocked and incomplete. If it is blue, it is complete.

  • Seat time is marked at the bottom right-hand corner, with the required seat time located just beneath that. In order to complete a topic, all topic modules must be completed and the “Topic Time Completed”must be greater than the“Required Time in Topic”.

  • Additional resources can be located by clicking on the “Resources” button in the bottom right-hand corner.

Taking a Knowledge Check

As students progress through the course, they will frequently encounter “knowledge checks”. They should simply read the question and select the best answer. Once questions have been answered, students simply click the “Next Page” button to proceed.

If there are ever any questions about a slide, click the “Accessibility” button on the top right-hand side of the screen. To mute the narration, click the “Mute” button at the bottom middle of the screen.
